Abstract
This newsletter contains information on Dr. Frank Bennett's mathematical achievements, Governor General Jeanne Sauvé's visit to the Mount, studies conducted regarding Fall Convocation, a deadline review for NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) postgraduate scholarships, and the first formal meeting of the PR (Public Relations) advisory board. The newsletter contains an 'Of Interest' section on Christmas shopping, the Leeward & Windward Islands Seminar 1989, an Adult Children of Alcoholics workshop/retreat event, a National Forum on the Un/Under-Employment of Humanities Graduates and the Development of New Professional Opportunities, and other events. There is information on a Conference on Women, Arts, and Politics, as well as a Campus Calendar of events from October 17 to October 24 and an update on pay equity.
